On tuesday the 25th and wednesday the 26th St. Wolstans held a fashion show. The fashion show was held in Celbridge Manor.  I wasn't modelling or in the fashion show but i was selling my mini company 'ignite candles'. The past few days organising the mini company was very stressful, but it was worth it in the end.

I got to watch the second half of the fashion show on both nights, i was really surprised how good it was! all the models looked unreal. oh and the Glee club was fab goooo Rizzalynn!!!!!!! The fashion show was a great success.

Mini Company

In Ty were doing mini company. You basically create your own company. We first heard about it at the start of the year. The hardest part so far was thinking of a product that everybody would buy. My group finally decided on candle making:)))

We thought of everyone who would buy a candle or who people would buy it for. We came up for a name for our mini company 'Ignite candles' well be selling soon so look out for us!

We will be selling a range of different size candles and a range of different scents. For christmas our scents will be Cinnamon, Holly and ivy and Christmas tree. we will also be selling Other scents too.

English play

We decided at the start of Ty that we were going to a play. We had the option of writing it ourselves or being handed a play. We decided to be creative and write our own.
Writing a play is a lot harder than it sounds because first you have to think of a good idea... That was near impossible. Our first idea was a car crash and how they recovered after it but that idea was scrapped completely.
We then thought long and hard about it and we decided on a new idea- Child abuse. We are going to write our play about how two people dealt with being abused at home- both with very different endings.
Our play is really started to come along now and were really happy with it. We only have a few more sences to write then we will be finished. I cant wait to see how it turns out

Millennium Development Goals

Millennium Development Goals.
In Religion in ty we are learning about the millennium development goals. my group was assigned the goal of promoting gender equality  and empowering women. we researched our goal and made up a power point presentation and poster about it. Its really interesting to find out all about the rights or little rights women have in developing countries.
We made a poster on our mdg, its fabb.

Fun Walk

This week was our Fun Walk. It was supposed to be today but it was moved to yesterday because the weather forecast was not good for today, good thing we did it yesterday because its lashing:))) 

Tys are always yellow, it was difficult finding a yellow top, but i found one so its was all good.

We were all worried that our dance was going to be so bad because we thought we hadn't enough time.. We pulled it off very well in the end. Our tutor Mr Lawless is the best ever. We wanted him to be Ariel at the start but he refused, which wasn't a bad idea because then Sarah Mc was voted to be Ariel and she was fabb. Mr. Lawless (#flawlesslawless) made himself a shark costume which was sooo good. 

Sadly we didn't win:(((( we well deserved it though! after the dances Tys set out to stand at the crossing points of the walk. I went with eve to Poiry square.

Digital Dossier

This weeks Ty  challenge was to watch a video on our 'digital dossier' or digital footprint. I didn't know what all this ment until i watched this video.  

The video was extremely interesting and well worth a look. I learned that even before you are born you're written about talked about on social media sites, you're digital dossier is beginning to build up. It only gets bigger and bigger as you grow older. It makes you think about how big your digital footprint is. 

These are examples of the social media sites i use:
Facebook- to keep in contact with friends/ family, upload pictures etc.
Snapchat- for images
Instagram- upload pictures
We heart it- find images you like 
Twitter- my thoughts and feelings
Google- to search for things i am interested in
Youtube- to listen to songs or how to do things

I was really surprised i learned so much from this video. Its really fascinating how social media has affected our lifes, before we are born and after we die.
